Our correspondent Sascha Fahrbach was in Vilnius, Lithuania today to attend the World Liberty Congress. This event is a gathering of freedom advocates and dissidents from 56 different nations who have come together to discuss strategies for combating today's authoritarian governments. In this conversation, Sascha was joined by activist Carolina Barrero, to discuss the Cuban people’s struggle for freedom, and the UN General Assembly vote to end the United States decades-long trade embargo against the nation. Cuba is currently suffering its worst economic crisis in decades, with shortages of food, fuel and medicine.
