Dissenting deputy Ismael García will file over ten complaints -which the Attorney General Office has not responded- with the United Nations (UN) and the South American Anti-Corruption Commission. "It is a society of accomplices," the deputy said referring to government officials not being under investigation over corruption reports
Dissenting deputy Ismael García will resort to international bodies, particularly the United Nations (UN) and the South American Anti-Corruption Commission to report "the way Venezuelan government officials have enriched themselves at the expense of the people's money, impoverishing the people in a horrific way."
García explained that since 2009, deputies from the Unified Democratic Panel (MUD) have reported government corruption with the Attorney General Office, and got no answer; hence they will resort to international bodies.
He said that former Minister of Planning Jorge Giordani stirred the corruption cells within high-rank government spheres when he publicly presented his letter entitled "Testimony and Responsibility before History." There, he reveals the serious internal situation in the Executive branch of government headed by President Nicolás Maduro.
